National Disability Sports Organisation, British Blind Sport are delighted to announce a new project aimed to develop young (11-18) visually impaired people through a volunteering, mentoring and leadership programme over the course of three years. The ‘See my Voice’ project has been successfully awarded over £120,000 from Sport England which will link over 100 Young Leaders into sports volunteering roles that will develop their life skills, and enable them to share their opinions and experiences to shape the sporting landscape for visually impaired people.

Each Young Leader will complete a leadership qualification and be provided with one to one mentoring sessions with business leaders. After completing 50 hours of volunteering over a one year term participants will receive a certificate of their achievement.
