Young Volunteers are a valuable asset to any club. They are able to contribute during athlete training sessions, committee meetings, social events, volunteer recruitment and competitions.
The North East Region organise and run a number of Young Volunteer Development Days which provide young people with the opportunity to meet other young volunteers and to develop their personal qualifies, team work and aquatics skills.
These cover a range of subjects to help develop young volunteers skills and additional opportunities. They include Team Manager training, Club Captain workshops, Officials training, First Steps Into Coaching, Young Aquatic Helper and Young Aquatic Leader workshops, Positive Behaviour workshops and team building exercises.
The next Young Volunteer Development Day is planned for the January 2018.
If you are interested in setting up a young volunteer course within your club please contact the Regional Officers for additional support and advice.
