Young Volunteers are a valuable asset to any club. They are able to contribute during training sessions, committee meetings, social events, volunteer recruitment and competitions.
Within the North East we run have run a number of Young Volunteer Development Days which have provided young people with the opportunity to meet other young volunteers and to develop their delivering, team work and aquatics skills.
At the successful and very enjoyable Young Volunteer Development Day held in Middlesbrough in November 2014, Young Volunteers from within clubs in Northumberland and Durham attended Team Manager, Club Captain and Team Building workshops. These offered them the chance to learn new skills and build on and challenge their existing knowledge. For more information on this day please click here.
The next Young Volunteer Development Day is planned for the 28th March in Barnsley. More information on this including how to apply for a place can be found here.
If you are interested in setting up a young volunteer course within your club please contact the Regional Officers for additional support and advice.
