Newcastle Swim Team’s Emily Large and City of Sheffield’s Max Litchfield are part of a ten-strong British Swimming team that have been selected for the LEN European Short Course Championships in Copenhagen, Denmark from the 13 – 17 December.
The team will be led by World Champions Duncan Scott, Ben Proud, and Adam Peaty who will be joined by a group of younger athletes looking to cement their places within the senior ranks of the British team. The team will be looking to gain some valuable early season racing as they put to the test their competition skills and processes whilst in the Danish Capital.
Team Leader and Head Coach for the event Tim Jones said, “We have selected a team with a great mix of experience and future potential. It will be an excellent opportunity for our next generation to hone their arena skills by working alongside some of our proven senior medallists. Whilst the meet is early season, I am sure it will provide some great racing ahead of our benchmark long course meets in 2018.”
