Regional Management

The ASA North East region mission is to be an innovative, sustainable partnership renowned for its commitment to helping people and organisations realise their potential in, or as a result of, aquatics. It looks to create the best possible conditions for aquatics to succeed in the North East region for the next generation, to tackle challenges and barriers faced by the sport and develop a step by step approach to deliver success.

The Regional Management Board is made up of volunteers appointed from across our membership and includes specialist plus independent members.   The Board sets the strategic direction of the region and oversees the work of the 5 discipline committees who in turn manage their own discipline.

A team of ASA professional staff support the region including a Regional Business Manager, Aquatic Officers, Talent Development Officer (swimming), Club Development Officer, Officer Manager and an Administrator. In addition, the region also has two Regional Development Officers. The regional office is based in Darlington.

Regional staff are available to advise and help wherever possible.  All enquiries to the Regional Office in Darlington will ensure your question is dealt with by the most appropriate member of staff. To contact the regional office, please click here.
