There are many volunteer roles that need to be fulfilled at a regional, county, club and event level. Most of these are unpaid and take up various amounts of time to accomplish. These include coaches, welfare officers, board and committee members, time keepers, event organisers, secretaries and teachers.
The ASA have published some useful guides for the various volunteer roles found within clubs. These can be found by clicking here.
The North East region is committed to providing support to the volunteers within aquatics in the North East. The regional officers work with clubs and club networks to produce development plans which highlight key areas for development. The officers can then look to arrange training courses for identified areas. For more information on club and volunteer development please contact the regional officer who works with clubs in your area.
