We have recently been informed by Swim England about some updates to the Time to Listen training for Welfare Officers.
They have confirmed that this can be considered “one off” training and there is no requirement to re-attend the course every 3 years as previously stated. If Welfare Officers wish to attend every 3 years that is fine, but it is optional, not mandatory. Welfare Officers will need a Safeguarding certificate which will need to be updated every 3 years. For the purposes of SwimMark accreditation this criteria will be updated on the portal shortly.
If you have any questions, please let Dan Ramm, the Swim England Club Development Officer know (firstname.lastname@example.org).
