Two Young Leader days will be taking place in early 2019 to support the development of young adults aged from 13 and 17 years of age within aquatics clubs. This opportunity is designed for those who are considering helping out at their club and want to develop their skills, broaden their knowledge, enhance their CV and perhaps want to start coaching. Either day is FREE of charge to attend.
The days will take place on either Saturday 19th January, 9:30am – 3:00pm at Wakefield College, Castleford, WF10 4UA or Saturday 26th January, 9:30am – 3:00pm at Unity Academy, Middlesbrough, TS3 8RE.
(Note: Both of the development days cover the same content. Candidates are required to attend just one of the two days).
Both development days will include the following two workshops:
Swim England: Young Aquatic Helper
This workshop has been designed for young people who want to actively assist on poolside in any aquatic environment, e.g. clubs or learn to swim schemes.
UK Coaching: Keeping Safe in Sport – Safeguarding for Young Volunteers
This workshop will help you understand how to keep children and yourself safe in the sessions that you are involved in.
