Swim England introduced the ‘Coach 2028 Performance Programme’ which is a key learning opportunity on the Coach Development Pathway.
The specialised coach development programme was created to help and guide coaches on the performance pathway who are operating at the top of the England Talent Pathway and seeking to transfer their athletes to World Class Programmes.
Coaches on the Performance Programme recently participated in the first of the initiative’s six workshops; 21 successful applicants were chosen to be a part of this programme. The following coaches from the North East have been selected from various aquatic disciplines:
- Chris Leighton, Borough of Stockton Swimming Scheme (BOSSS)
- Dan Cocking, City of Sheffield Swimming Club
- Deanne Ward, City of Leeds Synchronised Swimming Club
- James Milton, City of Leeds Diving Club
- Paul Woodley, Derwentside ASC
