Informative, educational, online development workshops, covering different topics, are available to support athletes born 2011 who are members of clubs in the Swim England North East Region.
The three virtual workshops cover a range of topics including:
- Nutrition: Learning to Fuel – Nutritional advice to support swimmer development.
- Lifestyle: Lifestyle & Recovery – An introduction to a performance lifestyle.
- Sports Psychology: Mental skills and progress goals.
The workshops will be delivered on:
Saturday 9th March 2024, 13:30 to 16:30 for athletes from Northumberland and Durham: https://northumberland-and-durham.classforkids.io/info/12.
Sunday 17th March 2024, 09:30 to 12:30 for athletes from Yorkshire: https://asaner.org.uk/event/ysa-athlete-development-workshops-17th-march-2024/
While the workshops focus on Swimming, many of the key teaching points and learning outcomes can be applied across the aquatic disciplines. The workshops are therefore open to all athletes from other aquatic disciplines to attend if they would like to do so.
A small fee is required per athlete which gives access to all three workshops.
To take advantage of this opportunity please book your place at the appropriate workshop. Please note, if you are already part of the Northumberland and Durham and Yorkshire Swimming Camps for 2023 – 2024 and you have attended the first face to face camp, you don’t need to book on and pay for this workshop, as it forms part of the development camp programme for this season. More information can be found in your invite letter.
