Northumberland and Durham Festival of Aquatics

Get ready to dive into something unforgettable this summer, as the Northumberland and Durham Swimming Association brings an action-packed Festival of Aquatics to the region!

Hosted at the world-class Sunderland Aquatics Centre, the festival lands on Saturday 6th June 2026, and from the moment doors open at 8:30am, it’s full speed ahead into a fun-fuelled aquatic adventure.

This isn’t just swimming—it’s your chance to step into three incredible sports:

• 🌊 Artistic Swimming – combine strength, flexibility, and creativity
• 💦 Diving – feel the adrenaline as you take the plunge
• 🤽 Water Polo – fast, fierce, and all about teamwork

Across the morning (9:00am–1:00pm), participants will rotate through interactive sessions both in and out of the pool, guided by experienced coaches who are ready to inspire the next generation of aquatic talent.

Designed for children up to 16 years old who have reached Stage 6 in the Swim England Learn to Swim programme, this event is all about trying something new, building confidence, and having a blast. A quick swim check on the day ensures everyone is ready to jump in safely—then it’s straight into the action!
