A huge congratulations to everyone who took part in Saturday’s training session on 7th September. It was a day filled with hard work, teamwork, and exciting water polo action!
Younger Players – Outstanding Determination!
The younger players tackled a tough leg set, and despite the challenge, they pushed through right until the end. Their perseverance was fantastic to see – well done to all of you!
Older Players – Victory Against West Mids
The older squad faced off against the West Midlands and secured a solid victory. The match showcased brilliant teamwork and textbook water polo, making the team staff extremely proud of their efforts. A huge thank you to the West Midlands team for making the trip to Maltby – these training games are invaluable in preparing the players for the upcoming Inter Regionals.
Farewell to the 2007 Players
There was a moment to wish the outgoing 2007-born players, Severn, Isabel, Hannah, Ruby, Ida, Millie, and Freya, the very best of luck as their North East journey comes to an end this month following their final Inter Regionals. Many of these players have been with the squad for six years, and it was bittersweet to see them move on. We wish them every success in their future endeavors – and who knows, maybe some will return as coaches!
But before that, their focus remains on one last goal – smashing Division 2 at the Inter Regionals! 💪
Welcome to Our New Trialists!
A special shoutout goes to the five 2013 trialists who joined for the first time on Saturday. The team staff were thoroughly impressed as they displayed their brilliance in the pool and proudly wore the North East badge. Good luck to them all as they continue with them in September – we’re excited to see how they progress!
A Heartfelt Thank You to Liz
An extended massive thank you to Liz for all her hard work behind the scenes as Team Manager. With Saturday being her last session with the team, they are incredibly grateful for everything she’s done for the players and the club.
