The University of Sheffield is looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Women’s Water Polo Coach to support its student team competing in the BUCS Female Premier North League.
About the Role
The team trains twice weekly at Ponds Forge and plays competitive BUCS fixtures throughout the academic year. They are seeking a coach who can lead engaging, well-structured sessions and support the development of players across all experience levels.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver high-quality water polo coaching sessions for the women’s squad
- Provide feedback and guidance to support player development
- Lead two weekly training sessions:
- Monday and Thursday evenings, 9:00–10:00 pm at Ponds Forge
- Coach during September ‘Give it a Go’ taster sessions to introduce new players to the sport
- (Optional) Attend match days on Wednesdays during the day
What They’re Looking For
- Swim England Level 2 Water Polo Coaching qualification (preferred)
- Strong knowledge of the sport and ability to coach mixed-ability teams
- Experience in planning and delivering effective training sessions
