Saturday saw an action-packed afternoon of water polo as the North East girls gathered at Maltby for a regional development session, with players demonstrating great commitment, skill and enthusiasm throughout.
The first session welcomed an impressive 24 athletes, providing a fantastic turnout and highlighting the growing strength of girls’ water polo across the region. The focus was on key tactical elements of the game, including man-up and man-down situations, as well as team selection preparations for the upcoming 2013 Inter Regional Championships.
The second session shifted focus to the senior girls, with coaches delivering technical training designed to enhance the skills and techniques players can apply during competitive matches.
Across both sessions, the players showed tremendous energy, effort and determination, embracing the challenges set by the coaching team and making the most of the development opportunity.
It was a brilliant afternoon of water polo, with plenty of hard work on display and positive progress made as players continue their preparations for future competitions. Well done to everyone who took part!
