Record Attendance at North East Girls Post-Summer Water Polo Bootcamp

Friday evening saw the most successful North East Girls Post-Summer water polo Bootcamp to date, with a record turnout of 36 athletes from 43 invited players. The group featured girls ranging from the 2015 to 2009 age groups, making it the largest attendance the programme has ever achieved.

The session focused on developing fitness and stamina, beginning with land-based training and relay activities before moving into the water for a dedicated swimming and leg-strength session. Athletes then worked through tactical swim drills, jumping ball fitness exercises and a series of games designed to challenge both their skills and teamwork.

The girls worked exceptionally hard throughout the full two-and-a-half-hour session, showing great determination, commitment and enthusiasm from start to finish. It was fantastic to see everyone giving their all, particularly with an exciting calendar of games and development opportunities ahead.

A huge well done to everyone who attended and contributed to such a positive and productive evening.

Special thanks go to Clare, Graham and Sarah for their support and assistance in delivering the session.
