Several North East Region clubs have successfully raised funding from the following fundraising opportunity to help support their club.
Crowdfunder and Sport England have teamed up to make £2.5 million of match funding available to help the sport and physical activity sector through the ongoing coronavirus crisis and with the safe return to play. Up to £10,000 is available to keep clubs physically active.
The following clubs have in total received several thousands of pounds in funding:

- Loftus Dolphins
- Newcastle Swim Team
- Richmond Dales SC
- Sunderland City Dive Team
- Tadcaster York Sport SC
- York City Baths Club
