Swimmers who are in the 11 year old age group attended a virtual Northumberland and Durham Region Swimming Development Camp on a very hot July 17th evening.

The camp was delivered by BOSSS Head Coach Chris Leighton who is also one of the lead coaches on the Northumberland and Durham Performance Programme. During the camp, Chris covered the following topics:

An overview of the Swim England Talent pathway structure.
Both technical/tactical skill development and cover individual medley turns and transitions.
Educational nutrition and lifestyle areas with two Tokyo 2021 Olympians.

It’s hoped that we will be in a position to deliver a face to face camp in the autumn for selected swimmers. Further details will be shared when they are available. Many thanks to all swimmers who attend the virtual session.
