Congratulations to the North East Regional Award Winners 2021
Thank you to everyone who took the time to nominate a deserving person for a Regional Award as part of Swim England 2021 National Awards. We are pleased to announce the North East winners below:-
- Inspirational Athlete Award: This Award recognises participants from across all disciplines from age 12 years and over.  Winner – Henry Howarth, Cleethorpes & District SC
- Engagement Innovation Award: This Award recognises the creative approach taken to engage our members across the aquatic community to ensure continued member support. Winner – City of Sheffield Diving Club
- Inspirational Coach/Teacher Award: This Award recognises coaches or teachers in clubs. Winner – Becki McGuire, Morpeth Swimming Club
- Inspirational Volunteer Award: This Award recognises volunteers over the age of 18. Winner – David Culf, Halifax Swimming Club
- Inspirational Young Volunteer Award: This Award recognises volunteers from the age of 14 to 17. Winner – Zoe Clark, Durham City Aquatics
The Swim England National Volunteer Awards 2021 will take place virtually on 9th October – details to follow nearer the time. Winners have been notified and presentations will be made in their clubs.
Many thanks to everyone who took the time to nominate a volunteer for an award and many congratulations to all our North East winners. Without everyone’s hard work and dedication, aquatics within the North East wouldn’t be what it is today.
