The North East girls’ water polo team made a triumphant return to the pool this week after a summer hiatus, with a focus on enhancing body movement in the water. The session not only reinvigorated the team but also welcomed several new trialists who added to the enthusiasm and energy of the day.
The North East water polo squad, comprising young athletes from the region, gathered at their training facility for their first post-summer session. Coaches Gabby and Matt, along with Team Manager Liz, ensured that the day was filled with both learning and fun.
The primary goal of this session was to improve the girls’ body movement in the water. Water polo, a physically demanding sport, requires athletes to be agile, swift, and well-versed in water-based maneuvers. Under the expert guidance of Coaches Gabby and Matt, the girls were put through various drills and exercises designed to enhance their swimming techniques, water ball-handling skills, and overall aquatic dexterity.

Despite the challenges of regaining their form after a break, the girls showed immense dedication and determination. Their passion for the sport shone through as they eagerly embraced the opportunity to fine-tune their abilities. New trialists, who joined the session, were warmly welcomed into the fold, and their enthusiasm added a refreshing element to the team’s dynamic.
The atmosphere at the poolside was electric, with laughter and camaraderie echoing through the facility. It was clear that everyone was having a brilliant time, which only heightened the sense of unity within the team.
As the North East girls’ water polo team dives back into their training routine, they do so with a renewed sense of purpose and a growing sense of camaraderie. With the continued guidance of their dedicated coaches and the collective determination of their team members, they are poised to make waves in the upcoming season.
The North East community eagerly anticipates their future performances and is confident that these young athletes will represent their region with skill, determination, and sportsmanship.
