City of Sunderland Amateur Swimming Club is seeking an experienced and motivated Junior Squad Coach to join its coaching team on a full-time, permanent basis.
Based at Sunderland Aquatics Centre, this is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in shaping and delivering the club’s junior pathway within a growing and ambitious programme. The successful candidate will lead the Junior Squad, supporting swimmer development from early stages through to Youth Development, while contributing to the club’s wider performance and participation objectives.
The role involves delivering high-quality coaching sessions, planning and monitoring swimmer progression, and working collaboratively with the Head of Swimming and wider coaching team. A strong emphasis is placed on talent identification, recruitment, and building effective relationships with local schools, swim schools, and community partners to strengthen the club’s development pathway.
Applicants must hold a Swim England Level 2 Coaching qualification (or equivalent), along with relevant safeguarding and safety certifications. Previous coaching experience and a passion for athlete development are essential.
The position offers a salary of £25,000 per annum and operates across a six-day week, including early mornings, evenings, and competitions as required.
