Two North East officials, Christine Golightly and Regional Board member, Sue Prasad, proudly represented the region at the 2025 World Para Swimming Championships in Singapore.
It was an incredible showing by the Aquatics GB team, after seven incredible days of competition in Singapore, they finished fifth on the final medal table at the 2025 World Para Swimming Championships having secured 40 medals – 15 gold, 14 silver and 11 bronze.
Christine and Sue have long contributed to swimming at local, regional, and national level, and their involvement in Singapore demonstrates the pathway available for officials to progress to the very highest stages of the sport.
We congratulate them both on this achievement and thank them for their outstanding service to the sport.
