Swim England North East is proud to support Rise North East and the upcoming North East Sport Welfare event, taking place on Saturday 21st June at St James’ Park Stadium, Newcastle.
This free, one-day event is designed for sports volunteers, activity providers, clubs, and organisations across the North East to come together and raise awareness of key safeguarding and welfare issues affecting our sporting communities.
Hosted by Sport Welfare Officers from Rise North East and Tees Valley Sport, the day promises to be both educational and inspiring. Attendees will benefit from a morning of powerful keynote speeches focusing on topics such as abuse in sport, neurodiversity, and youth voice.

- Transgender Awareness and Inclusion
- Banter vs Bullying
- Mental Health and Suicide
- Disability Sport Inclusion
- Online Safety
