Joan Edwards of Derwentside and Gateshead Swimming Club enjoyed an outstanding performance at the recent European Masters Swimming Championships held in Šamorín, Slovakia.

Competing against some of the continent’s top masters swimmers, Joan secured two silver medals in the 400m Freestyle and 800m Freestyle, as well as a bronze medal in the 200m Freestyle.

Joan’s impressive results are a testament to her dedication, hard work and commitment to the sport, and represent a fantastic achievement on the international stage.
