The Tyne and Wear hub was established through the Tyne and Wear Club Network and forms part of the Northumberland and Durham Swimming Development Programme. It aims to provide additional training opportunities for swimmers and coaches within Tyne and Wear to support the work being done within their home programmes. It is hoped that through the hub and by training with different swimmers and coaches, the athletes will further develop their skills and level of performance. This approach is similar to that of the Northumberland and Durham Performance sessions which have has success within the county.
The hub programme within Tyne and Wear is currently on pause and under review. We hope to have more information on this in due course.
