It is with deep regret that the Regional and County swimming families note the sudden passing of Fay Tiffin wife of Barry Tiffin a Past President of both the Yorkshire and Northumberland and Durham Swimming Associations.

Fay was for many years an active Committee Member of the City of Leeds Swimming Club and when the family moved to Ingleby Barwick continued her involvement in the sport as a Member of Middlesbrough Swimming Club.

Fay was also a well known figure at National, Regional and County Swimming Events through her roles as a Recorder and Front of House Volunteer.

We pass on our sincere condolences to her husband Barry, son Lee and the wider family.

The funeral will take place on 3 September 2021.

Location – St Bedes Chapel, Teeside Crematorium, Acklam Rd, Middlesbrough, TS5 7HD. The service will commence at 3 p.m. and will last no longer than 25 minutes. Please aim to arrive by 14:50 and not before. There are two chapels inside the crematorium, it is possible there may be an another service running prior to, simultaneously, or immediately after Fay’s.

In Lieu of floral tributes Fay would have loved you to support either of her two favourite charities – Guide Dogs for the Blind or the National Deaf Children’s Society. Both were very close to her heart and they would be very grateful for any contributions you would like to make in her memory.

After the funeral there will be a celebration of her life at Middlesbrough Municipal Golf Centre, Ladgate Ln, Middlesbrough, TS5 7YV from 4 p.m. This location is a 5 minute drive from the crematorium. There will be refreshments and a buffet provided.
