Are you confident in the water and looking to try something new? This summer, Yorkshire Aquatics Limited is inviting young swimmers to dive into an exciting Festival of Aquatics — a fun-filled event designed to introduce three fantastic aquatic sports.

Taking place at Shipley Pool in July 2026, this festival, a first for Yorkshire but the 4th in the North East Region gives participants the opportunity to experience Artistic Swimming, Diving, and Water Polo all in one venue. With a mix of in-water sessions and land-based activities, it’s the perfect way to build skills, try new challenges, and have fun with friends.

Explore Three Exciting Aquatic Sports

Throughout the morning, participants will rotate through sessions led by experienced coaches, giving them a hands-on introduction to each discipline:

Artistic Swimming – Combine music, movement, and creativity
Diving – Build confidence and learn new skills from the boards
Water Polo – Fast-paced, team-based fun in the pool

Whether you’re looking to try something completely new or develop your confidence in the water, this event offers something for everyone.

Who Can Take Part?

The Festival of Aquatics is open to children aged up to and including 16 who have achieved either Bradford Aquatics Swim School Aqua Skills Bronze, Stage 6 of the Swim England Learn to Swim programme, or a higher level.

A short swim test will take place on the day to ensure all participants are able to take part safely and confidently.
