The North East Girls Water Polo community came together for an exciting Games Night filled with learning, teamwork, and fun! The event provided an incredible opportunity for players, parents, and coaches to celebrate the progress made over the season and showcase the hard work and dedication of everyone involved.
The evening kicked off with a special session led by Nigel, who gave the 2012/2013 players a fantastic “Refereeing 101” lesson. This included an introduction to hand signals and an explanation of the rules, helping the girls better understand what they can and can’t do during a game. A huge thank you to Nigel for his time and expertise!
Before jumping in the pool, all participants took part in 30 minutes of land training. The session wasn’t all drills, fun relays kept the energy high and the players engaged. Afterward, it was time for the highly anticipated house games, which were a perfect opportunity for the girls to put their skills to the test in a competitive yet supportive environment.
Parents in attendance were treated to an impressive display of their daughters’ progress, as the players demonstrated the techniques and strategies they’ve been learning since September. It was a proud moment for everyone to see how much the girls have improved.
The night was filled with laughter, team spirit, and some fantastic water polo action. A massive thank you goes out to all the North East coaches and team managers for their hard work and dedication over the past few months. Your commitment to developing these young athletes does not go unnoticed.
We’re excited to see how far these players will go in their water polo journeys. Well done to everyone involved, and here’s to more great events in the future!
