The North East Water Polo Academy held an invigorating training session today, welcoming 35 enthusiastic female athletes dedicated to honing their skills in both offensive and defensive play.
The session emphasised assertiveness in attack and proactive ball recovery in defense. Senior players delved into advanced tactical strategies, while junior members focused on essential techniques such as blocking, shooting, and defensive dropping.
Anticipation is building as the academy prepares to host players from Scotland in the upcoming session scheduled for March. This collaboration aims to foster regional camaraderie and provide valuable competitive experience for all participants.
Special thanks are extended to coaches Gabby, Matt, Chris, and Sarah for their invaluable assistance during today’s session. Their dedication and expertise continue to inspire and develop the next generation of water polo talent in the North East.
