Swim England is thrilled to announce the return on the Swim England National Awards 2026, a flagship event that honours the exceptional individuals, clubs, coaches, volunteers, and organisations that form the heart of our aquatic community.
These awards shine a spotlight on the passion, dedication, and achievements across all the aquatic disciplines (artistic swimming, diving, open water, swimming, and water polo), and celebrate those who go above and beyond to create lasting, positive impacts both in and out of the water.
This also serves as a fantastic opportunity to recognise those within our Region on their dedication to the sport!
Key Dates
- Nominations Open: 1st August 2026 – close 11th September 2026
- Regional Winners Announced By: w/c 12th October 2026
- National Awards Ceremony: March 2027
Regional Awards to Swim England longlist
Members from across the North East can submit nominations for the following awards, which will first be judged at the Regional level:
- Sport Club of the Year (by discipline)
- Volunteer of the Year
- Young Volunteer of the Year
- Technical Official of the Year
- Participation and Community Coach of the Year
- Children/Age Group Coach of the Year
- Talent Development Coach of the Year
Regional winners will be verified and then go forward as finalists for the National Awards.

From young volunteers shaping the future, to dedicated technical officials, these awards highlight the real people driving aquatics forward. Clubs, teachers, and coaches are the heart of our community, providing safe, inclusive, and inspiring environments every day.
As Swim England North East, we are proud to support and spotlight the region’s passion and talent on this national stage.
How to Nominate
Nominations are open to all – whether you are a parent, participant, official, or supporter. You do not need to be a Swim England member to submit a nomination, but all nominees must be members.
