Coaches in the local area are invited to observe the National Age Group Development Programme at Eston Leisure Centre on Sunday 25th October, starting at 8:30am.
The day will showcase some of the region’s up-and-coming young athletes who have begun their journey on the national pathway this year. The programme will include athlete education sessions and two pool training sessions.
As space will be limited, places for coaches will be restricted. However, coach engagement is vital to the ongoing development of these athletes, and attending could be an excellent opportunity for anyone interested in being considered for a coaching role within the programme in future years.
Please note that coaches will be attending in an observation-only capacity. There will be no poolside coaching or direct interaction with the athletes during the day.
Mark Lappin, Swim England’s National Sport Officer for the North, will be in attendance and available to support coaches in their development journey, as well as answer any questions about the programme and future coaching opportunities.
This is a fantastic chance to gain insight into the national pathway environment and observe the delivery of a high-performance development programme.
Please contact Mark on Mark.Lapping@swimming.org if you would like to attend.
