The Northumberland and Durham (N&D) County Swimming Association Championships will be held once again at the Sunderland Aquatic Centre. This dedicated all links page will give you all the information that you will need for the 2026 Championships. Please see below confirmed dates:
- Weekend 1: Saturday 7th & Sunday 8th February 2026
- Weekend 2: Saturday 14th & Sunday 15th February 2026
- Weekend 3: Saturday 28th February 2026 & Sunday 1st March 2026 – TEAMS Day
Based on the feedback we received from the 2025 event; we’ve made several key improvements for 2026:
- New Age Group: A single 16-year age group has been introduced.
- Extended Competition Time: The Championships will now run over five full days, allowing for the extra age group.
- Updated Schedule: We’ve revised the schedule with fewer events per day to support swimmers’ performance and recovery.

POOLSIDE PASSES
Are now available to purchase at a cost of £15 each via the Online Poolside Pass system. Please log in via link below and select our event from the available list, to make your purchase.

Passes will be valid for the full duration of the Championships, including the 2026 Teams Day and I am pleased to announce that, this year, the poolside pass includes lunch and refreshments.
There will be a Teams Day only option, for any Coaches/TMs that will only be attending this event. Further information will follow.
Coach or Team Managers are required to buy and print off their accreditation pass BEFORE they attend the Championships.

A Few Important Reminders:
- Poolside Access: All coaches and team staff must hold a valid poolside pass via the National Pass Application system. To obtain a pass, their online account must have:
- A current photo
- Completed safeguarding training
- Relevant coaching or Team Manager qualification
- Up-to-date DBS check (including barring list)
- Supervision Requirements: In line with Swim England’s safeguarding and welfare policies, clubs must ensure the correct ratio of coaches and team managers to swimmers is maintained at all times during the competition.
