The Swim England Club Health Tracker continues to be open for clubs to be able to access.
This innovative online tool is designed to help clubs evaluate, measure and celebrate their development progress in a number of different areas including:
- Coaching & Teaching
- Financial management
- Pool operator relationships
- Governance and standards
- Membership
- Volunteers
The tracker helps gain a clear understanding of your club’s current position in each area and benchmark their results against national, regional and discipline specific averages. It identifies areas needing improvement and access tailored resources and guidance (online toolkits or Development Officer support). The insights help shape your club’s development, inform committee discussions and enable the club to track and celebrate progress over time.
Feedback received from a club who have recently completed the tracker is as follows:
It’s a great mechanism to take a step back from the day to day running of a club and review processes and documentation.
It made us reflect on the process we follow in help keep our membership records up to date.
It’s useful to aid discussion and encourage future developments e.g. clear roles for committee members.Â
We used the information around our pool programme to review the current training set up and introduce a new feeder squad (competition Intro) aimed to bring people into competitive swimming. It also reinforced that we have the appropriate training durations and S&C provision in the higher level groups.
The survey was very comprehensive.
The details of how a club can access the Health Tracker have been sent to all Club Chairs and Club Secretaries.
