Swim England North East would like to congratulate Richard Blackshaw on being appointed in his new role of England Talent Officer.

Richard, who left his job as head coach at Stockport Metro to take on the role, will lead on the Swim England extended pathway, be the pool technical lead, have responsibility for the Sheffield and Leeds National Performance Centres and be the regional contact for the North West, North East, West Midlands and East Midlands.

“I am looking forward to supporting and working alongside all the clubs, coaches, swimmers and volunteers in my capacity as the National Talent Officer,” said Richard.

We wish Richard good luck in his new role and we look forwards to seeing him in the North East.
