Swim England’s Support for Club Officers

Swim England want to support you to ensure you are happy, comfortable and confident as a club officer. They understand there’s a number of requirements for you to complete to make sure our sports are a positive and safe place for athletes and volunteers. So to help you with these requirements, they have developed training and workshops, the latest of which are listed below.

Funding and Sustainability

Swim England Financial Forum – Tuesday 27 February, 7:30pm
Join them for their Financial Forum and receive advice and help on how to fundraise for your club. Representatives from Crowdfunder UK and GoCardless will be joining their first meeting.

Governance

Good Governance Information Sessions
Get support in your committee role by attending one of their role-specific workshops.
Learn about what’s needed from your role, ask them any questions, plus take the opportunity to share any concerns or issues in a safe place.

Safeguarding and Welfare

Welfare Officer Workshops
Welfare officers can get support in their role by attending one of our workshops.

Wednesday 6 March – (6pm-8pm)
Monday 11 March – (12pm-2pm)
Monday 15 April – (12pm-2pm)
If you are a welfare officer, you will need to attend at least once, if you have already joined one of our workshops, thank you, this will have been noted. We recommend attending one workshop each year.

Free Course in Foundations of Inclusivity

To help clubs offer a welcome and accessible environment for all athletes, we are offering a free online course which will provide you and other committee members with an introduction to equality, diversity and inclusion.
