The Northumberland & Durham SA Championships 2025 are to be held at the Sunderland Aquatic Centre on 31st January; 1st & 2nd February and 15th & 16th February 2025.
The Northumberland & Durham TEAMS Day will be held at the Sunderland Aquatic Centre on Sunday 2nd March.
We’re pleased to welcome the North East Sport Welfare Officer team to the NDSA County Swimming Championships. The Sport Welfare Officers are part of a new funded project by Sport England to support clubs to create safer environments for everyone to take part in sport and activity. Representatives from the North East team will be at the event to speak to parents, participants, and club volunteers about safe sport. The team will also be encouraging parents/carers to complete the Child Protection in Sport Unit’s (part of the NSPCC) survey – which is an anonymous survey comprised of a few short questions about safeguarding your children in sport, and will help to better support parents, children and sports clubs in keeping children safe. Please welcome the Sport Welfare Officers at the competition and do say hi to them!

N&D Championships
Congratulations to all clubs, swimmers, coaches, and team staff for a very successful Championships over the last two weekends. Special mention to Middlesbrough ASC and Newcastle Swim Team for achieving their respective trophies which will be awarded on the N&D TEAMS Day. A massive THANK YOU to all event volunteers, referees and officials who all made these Championships possible, without you this would have not been possible. TEAMS Draft Programme
Thank you for all the entries to this year’s Teams Day on 2nd March, a draft programme is attached. Please check this over carefully any correction for times or where you think we have missed an event please email ndchampionshipentries@outlook.com
Please note we are not taking any additional or swapping entries.
TEAMS Line Form
Please see the below Form. All Clubs must submit their team lines by email to ndchampionshipentries@outlook.com no later than Noon on Friday 28 February 2025 – the electronic form must be used for this purpose, and any late changes to the declared teams must be provided to the Championships Manager or Recorders prior to the start of the relevant session.
Clubs are permitted to amend team lines between heats and finals so long as such amendments are formally declared to the Recorders before the start of the final’s session. Swimmers who compete for one team in the heats MAY NOT be brought into a different team for the final.
TEAMS Spectator Tickets
Ticket sales will go on sale at 12 noon this Saturday, 22nd February 2025. Tickets are priced at £10 each. There are no concessions however children aged under 10 will be permitted free entry and do not need to purchase a ticket.
Please let your club member know, all the tickets will be sold on line and on a first come first served basis. There will be No further ticket release and No tickets available to purchase on the day.

Gentle Reminder – swimmers wearing any Face Paint, Body Paint, Transfers, Waterproof Tattoos etc. will not be allowed into the water, as advised by the Aquatic Centre Management Team.
