Results so far from the 2025 Swim England Club Health Tracker indicate a slight but significant increase in the rating of their overall health. Currently clubs have a 80% rating compared to 78% in 2024.
All clubs are encouraged to complete the Swim England Club Health Tracker which has recently opened for the third year. The innovative online tool assists clubs to review and measure their club development work and benchmark against other clubs both regionally and nationally.
The Health Tracker rates clubs across 6 different areas including governance, coaching & teaching, finance, membership, pool operator relationships and volunteers. In doing so it helps identify areas for development and clearly measures a club’s year on year performance.
It also gives clubs the opportunity to quantify and celebrate the work that have done in developing their club. This is an ideal tool for clubs to utilise whilst a club development framework to replace SwimMark is being developed.
Support for any club which identifies an area that requires work is made available through resources, case studies with examples for best practice and one to one support available if required.
The insight the Health Tracker gives provides invaluable information for Swim England and the North East Region to help track the current landscape, understand current club priorities and offer targeted support.
All clubs have been sent the login details for their club to access the Club Health Tracker which should take no more than 15 mins to complete with ratings instantly available. Clubs who require further support or assistance should contact either clubdevelopment@swimming.org or swimnortheast@swimming.org
