The recent Swim England North East girls’ water polo session proved to be a valuable and productive day for all involved, with athletes across multiple age groups demonstrating impressive commitment, skill, and teamwork.
The 2008/09 squad took on a challenging match against an older and more experienced All Stars team. Despite the difficulty of the game, it provided an excellent opportunity for development, and every player made a meaningful contribution. Coaches encouraged all players to maintain their fitness and continue refining their skills in preparation for the upcoming Inter-Regional (IR) competitions, once rescheduled.

Those trialling for selection to the 2010 Inter-Regional squad presented the coaching staff with a particularly difficult decision, thanks to the high standard of performance displayed. The final squad list will be published by Monday evening to ensure players are prepared for Wednesday’s training session at Ponds Forge.
The youngest players in attendance were a true highlight of the day, approaching each challenge with enthusiasm and determination. Their effort and positive attitude were greatly appreciated and commended by the coaching team.
Swim England North East extends its sincere thanks to all players, parents, coaches, and especially the volunteers who assisted with table duties on the day – your support is invaluable.
